Nielsen Builders, Inc.

Nielsen is currently celebrating its 100-year anniversary. Employees are participating in a variety of centennial events during the year, including a recent charity golf tournament.

The Nielsen Builders Centennial Golf Tournament was held on May 9, at Lakeview Golf Tournament in Harrisonburg. Thanks to the support and participation of numerous businesses and individuals, Nielsen was able to raise $2,000 for a local charity.

The golf committee selected the United Way of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County as the recipient of this donation.

Nielsen President Tony Biller says, “Nielsen has a long history of supporting our local United Way. We are especially proud to donate the proceeds of our centennial golf tournament and show support of the good work that United Way does in our community.”

Nielsen Project Manager Jake Hull organized and implemented the event, with help from the entire centennial committee. Fourteen teams played in the morning, with 13 teams playing in the afternoon. In spite of the morning rains, all golfers and volunteers enjoyed the outing.
