Nielsen Plans $70 Million Worth Of Projects In State
HARRISONBURG - Harrisonburg-based Nielsen Builders Inc. has procured a number of new construction projects in the Piedmont and Valley regions of the state, according to a release from the company this week.
The new projects - worth more than $70 million combined - include a $1.08 million addition to Massanutten Technical Center in Rockingham County and a $1.8 million addition to the White Hill Church of the Brethren in Stuarts Draft.
By far the largest project on tap for Nielsen is the $56.8 million contract for a new high school in Fluvanna County.
The company also has contracts to renovate a Lexington middle school and provide carpentry work for Martha Jefferson Hospital's new campus. Those projects are worth $8.6 million and $1.9 million, respectively.
