Harrisonburg-based Nielsen Builders is the 14th-largest general
contractor in Virginia, according to Virginia’s List of Leaders,
published in the March 2008 edition of Virginia Business
magazine.
The magazine
ranked the top 32 general contractors in the state, according to
work put in place in Virginia in 2007.
Nielsen had
$160 million of work in place for this period, according to the
listing.
Howard Shockey
& Sons of Winchester was ranked No. 8, with $212 million of work
in place during the same period.
Each year,
Virginia Business magazine publishes Virginia’s List of Leaders,
which tracks Virginia’s largest companies in 19 business sectors
and provides a snapshot of the state’s economic health.
