Green Building Council Certifies McBride

Gary McBride has completed the requirements for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
McBride is a senior project manager for Nielsen Builders Inc. of Harrisonburg.
A graduate of James Madison University, he has been with Nielsen for nearly a decade.
Jeff Deavers, an estimator with Nielsen, received his LEED certification in November.
The U.S. Green Building Council is a building industry coalition that promotes construction of buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy.
The LEED program rates buildings in five areas: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
Nielsen Builders employs more than 230 people at its offices in Harrisonburg and Charlottesville.
