Nielsen To Build JMU's Third CISAT Dorm

Nielsen Builders Inc. has been awarded the contract to build a third residence hall at James Madison University's College of Integrated Science & Technology.

The $23.7 million project is scheduled to begin next month and is due to be completed by March 2009.

Nielsen will build two 5-story dormitory towers with a partial basement and 2-story connector pavilion.

The 131,788-square-foot building will be able to house 422 students.

Nielsen also built Potomac and Chesapeake halls on the CISAT campus.

Founded by Joseph Nielsen in 1908, Nielsen Builders Inc. employs more than 230 people and has offices in Harrisonburg and Charlottesville.
