CISAT Library At Midway Point
Harrisonburg-
Construction of the new library at James Madison University College of
Integrated Science & Technology has reached the halfway point.
Nielsen Builders Inc. held a "topping out" luncheon at the site on
Thursday to celebrate the milestone.
"Topping out" means the concrete and steel work is finished
and construction will now focus on enclosing the building, said Nielsen
spokeswoman Patty May.
The $22.7 million project started in September and is scheduled for
completion in March 2008, which coincides with JMU's centennial celebration.
The five-story 95,000-square foot building will include computer
labs, offices, a cafe and seminar and study rooms.
